Scrapbooker in training

Last night as I worked on new ideas my daughter asked if she could help. So rather than let her help with my project, I began one just for her. She picked out her own photo, cardstock and pattern paper. I began by teaching her how to use the paper trimmer and maybe helped her place papers straight. She knew how to cordinate colors and add mats to photo. I guess all the days she spend standing next to me watching she actullay learned something. Then I tried to teach her how to use the tape runner and cricut machine, but she said "Mom, I know how to do it" So I just supervised her project, which turned out beautifully of course. Simple but yet professional. My only regret is...
Now she wants to scrapbook every picture we own.

Scrapbook EXPO update

I did not post anything right after show because I EXPO was a disappointment. Most vendors did not let you take pictures of layouts or page creations. It's understandable, they would like to keep their creations original. With that being said, I did find cute layouts from a company called SHOESTRING DESIGNS. Unfortunately they do not have a website. You must visit them at next scrapbook EXPO scheduled for August 29th and 30th in San Diego, California or October 24th and 25th in Ontario, California.

I did find a few bargains; dollar scrapbooking, eyelet outlet had lots of cute ideas and very unique brad designs, keller creations is one of the most crowded booths. My favorite place to shop was of course SEI and Rusty Pickle they had lots of great paper and deals. Other than not being able to take many pictures for my blog the show was okay. Not as crowded as last year. As for the check out lines, HORRIBLE! They best day to attend the EXPO is sunday. Speaking from a vendors point of view, we do not want to take any merchandise back with us. We will practically give things away on sunday! So if you did not attend Costa Mesa, remember to go on Sunday for the future dates scheduled. Hope you enjoy the links.

Scrapbook EXPO

Tomorrow is going to be a long but very fun day. I love going to the scrapbook EXPO for all the wonderful creations and yes the FREE make'n'takes. My budget is $300.00, and YES! I plan on spending every cent of it. Since I didn't get that big sparkley thing I wanted for Valentine's (a RING) this year.
My plan for tomorrow will be easily executed. I am going alone, because I have no friends (JK). All my friends work and I have plans for the weekend. So, as I was saying.
Agenda:
1. arrive early
2. make my rounds
3. Check out the bargains and write them down
4. SHOP, SHOP, SHOP and do not STOP!

I will post photos and links for my finds for everyone as soon as I return from my scrapbook shopping spree. Wish me luck ladies.

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!

Hope everyone gets what their little heart desires. As for myself, I really don't know what my husband will suprise me with. Hope it's something BIG and sparkly. Although, I have been mentioning over and over again for my wedding ring to be re-sized. After my daughter was born my wedding ring just did not fit. My daughter is now 4 and I have not worn my wedding ring since. It's awful! I know. Or, maybe he will just buy me another wedding ring (Yeah, right). Hey, it could happen.

COMING SOON!

Well ladies,
You've asked for it and it's coming. I call it Cricut Cuts Club. A monthly membership that's fun, easy and quick to create in the comfort of your own home. This monthly membership is my best idea yet. You will love it! So stay posted for a sneak peek of what's to come.
